Both the original of this video and my Khatia Buniatishvili – A Crazy Life seem to have struck a cord with the public, but they were very short videos and Youtube rewards view time not popularity. So much so that I am going to delete both videos, but not before converting both into a longer format, in this case by adding Khatia’s interpretation of Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No 2 in C sharp minor. My channel which I envisioned as a forum for Art and Philosophy with a little Classical Music thrown it has been highjacked by Khatia’s popularity into a virtual Khatia Buniatishvili Fan Site, not that I am complaining as it is hard to get any success on Youtube and I’ll take what I can get and still sneak a little Art and Philosophy into the mix. Besides Khatia seems to attract a peculiar form of misogynist whose mission seems to be fueled by passionate dislike for her looks, which strikes me as both odd and unfair and as well leads to these people projecting a completely false estimation of her character, the defense of which was and is the whole point of this video. So enjoy the music and try spotting the real Khatia Buniatishvili in the process.
